At the Mountain Hermon in Kigali, the Africa Arise Conference witnessed a powerful gathering of people from all corners of the world. Asaph International led the praise and worship, setting a vibrant atmosphere for the event. The moderator, Bishop Leonard, welcomed the attendees and invited the esteemed Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza, the father of the house, to deliver the opening remarks. The stage was then handed over to the speaker of the day, Rev. Antoine Rutayisire, and his interpreter, Barbara, who shared an inspiring story before delivering an impactful sermon.

The Urgency of Transformation
Rev. Rutayisire shared his journey of almost missing the evening due to airport complications. This experience served as a reminder of the urgency for transformation. He praised Apostle Dr. Paul Gitwaza for consistently serving God and enlarging his territories, inspiring others to follow suit. Rev. Rutayisire emphasized that Africa's rise depends on Africans taking responsibility for their actions, putting an end to the blame game and external excuses.
Taking Ownership
The theme "Africans Will Rise Themselves" echoed throughout the sermon. Rev. Rutayisire urged Africans to rise above their circumstances, take ownership of their destinies, and act on their dreams. He emphasized that the responsibility lies with Africans to bring about the change they desire and not wait for others to do it for them. He shared of how sins will always destroy the development of a place/nation/ continent. He referred to the bible verse in PROVERBS 14:34
“Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people”
He said that all people that have talked about Africa’s Arise have always come back to two words one of them being ‘sin’.
