The Birth of “Africa Haguruka” vision
Apostle Gitwaza’s journey toward God’s vision of “Africa Haguruka” began in the early 1980s in Congo, a time marked by poverty and the exploitation of resources by external forces. Witnessing these dire circumstances, coupled with the harrowing experiences of the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda, ignited a profound burden within him to pray for and seek the transformation of Africa. In 1994, this calling took form with a divine mandate to initiate a repentance revival in Rwanda, leading to the birth of Africa Arise in 1996. Despite facing initial misunderstandings and skepticism, the vision steadily took root and evolved. What began as a response to urgent spiritual needs has grown into a powerful movement dedicated to uplifting Africa both spiritually and practically, laying the foundation for the transformative journey of Africa Haguruka.
